i have laptop which i connect to an external hardrive on my hardrive i have a program called mixmeister pro which is loaded up with music, my freind use to add music into it for me,but he has moved away and he never showed me how to do it

the easy way is to download itunes it copy cd and stores it in your library making easy to con to your HD

Well I'm not sure about the program you're using. But if you have physical cds you want to copy onto your laptop hard drive, try FreeRip (can find it on download.com I reckon). It's a great, easy to use program that easily allows you to rip your cds to your hard drive in three different formats (mp3, ogg, wav). To change the output path go to options (choose the folder you want to save your cd in).

You can use Real Player or if it is a Dell they come with a program called Musicmatch. There is also another program with laptops called Roxio

You may use either Windows Media Player or iTunes.
They are free and user-friendly

Use ur media player to rip it to your hard drive
