If you look at our history with famous people and the law there has never been a famous person convicted of a serious crime. Most of their convictions has been either drug or alcohol related crimes. None of which require a jury of 12 to come back with a guilty verdict.

I think he wouldn't have been accused if he wasn't famous and rich! His fame does cloud a lot of people's judgment, just look at all the people who thought he was guilty before and after the trial, luckily the jury didn't convict him before they heard the evidence (or lack of it)! Do you notice that the only people who accuse him are gold diggers? You don't see any of the rich parents accusing him! Macaulay Culkin was supposed to be adorable but Michael never touched him or his brother or Emanuel Lewis or his own nephews and cousins!

He was proven to be innocent in a court of law, so I really cannot see the point of this question.

No-one on this message board would be in a position to comment upon such a question considering that we do not possess any of the evidence which the court in America had before it.

Any comments that are made are merely groundless value judgments based upon an opinion of like or dislike.

Wild Flower:

My god, the only other rational person who is responding to this question! Everyone is overlooking the fact that the evidence available did not prove that he committed the offences with which he was charged beyond reasonable doubt, as is the criminal standard required by the court.

If there is a reasonable doubt, a jury by law cannot convict.

People can think what they like, no one can stop them. When a person has been found NOT GUILTY by a court they have been cleared, because the evidence leaves doubt. I doubt he was ever guilty, Just unlucky to be so famous and have such a massive fortune. Society should respect the legal system and its judgements. Unless they can prove without doubt that the judgement was wrong.

I don't know if he is guilty or not. But he is clearly a seriously damaged individual, both inside and out. Some of it is self inflicted, but what degree of self-loathing would induce someone to mutilate themselves as he has done? He was such a good looking lad, too.
Certainly I agree that any parent who sent their child to stay with him must have very questionable motives, or be seriously derelict.
One has to feel concern to the children in his care. Putting aside the question of sexual molestation, what kind of upbringing can such an individual provide?

Why did Michael Jackson call up Boyz 2 Men?

He thought it was an escort agency.

Seems like a familiar pattern, O.J., Robert Blake and Michael Jackson. Or maybe it's just the rest of the world that is wrong.

Most of his own Jury said he was as guilty as sin, and obviously a paedophile, however they could not convict him for the charges laid before the court on the evidence presented. One juror even wrote a book about the trial called "Guilty As Sin, Free As A Bird". It's OJ Simpson all over again.

I really don't know if he's guilty or not but I reckon that any parent who lets their kid hang about with a grown man who already has a history of child abuse allegations should be examined- I mean really..... why do they act all hurt and surprised? It's hardly unexpected is it?!!!
