We'll soon be fighting wars and killing people for two things: water and food. One of the biggest issues in the Middle East is water, though everyone talks about terrorism and religion. Israel doesn't have enough water. The water basin worldwide is being depleted. This is not just drinking water, but water for agriculture. In ten years or less, wars will be fought over water and food, with the great military powers stealing food from the mouths of the poor.

Water - especially drinking water.
There is a growing demand & shrinking supplies.
Many populations are located in areas of very limited supply.
All life needs it & we will all eventually reach a point we will be fiercly competing for it.
Growing populations will have to make decisions on whether the available water will be used by humans as drinking water or cleaning or agriculture or industry.
Wars in the future WILL be fought over water.

It's only an excuse. For years and years religion was the main reason for wars, the current trend seems to be for oil but all in all folk will always be fighting and using any excuse to justify it.

It's ironic that the cause of all the wars and hate in the world will simply vanish and we'll all be wondering what the hell we were doing.

I agree with king, next would be water.
After water, land.
After land, the air.
Why? Because these are limited and we cannot live without these.
