I say HIT, the music and dancing were superb. It reminded me of Diana Ross Movie "Lady Sing The Blues" and "Purple Rain". For the guys, there was this strikingly beautiful woman. I never seen her before no where in showbiz. I found out her real name is Paula Patton, she played Sally B Shelly or Angel. Music was really nice. Also, at the end of the movie, don't walk out, OutKast puts on a really good performance on stage while playing the piano. This movie is really a musical. The acting was not that great but it was a really a good movie. If you are intrigued by the 1930's and the way people dressed and looked during that time and you like musical type of movies like Purple Rain and etc, then you would be entertained. This movie is worth seeing.

I just saw Idlewild. It was not as good as I thought it would be. I kinda regret spending $7.50 to see it in the theater. IMO, the movie should have gone straight to HBO. However, Idlewild did have a couple of LOL moments. I feel Idlewild won't have a successful run in theaters.

I think its gonna be a flop beacuse in the trailer it seems like they are showing all the good parts of the movie. You know how they edit stuff from the trailer out of the movie. Idlewild is gonna be like that.

I don't know. I disliked his acting in Be Cool, but he was pretty decent in Four Brothers. Already though, I don't like his side of Idlewild. Big Boi killed him on this.

It will be a hit, but I don't think it will be a "crossover" hit. By the way, Andre 3000 was also in "Four Brothers" since "Be Cool". Check it out.

I definately think it will be a hit... It's the most unique movie out right now... I like the style of it, and it shows a whole new perspective on hip hop... I applaud Outkast for the movie...

I say hit, it played at the marthas vineyard/ nantucket film festival and the crowd was wowed, considering thats not exactly outkasts demographic, that bodes well to me....
