I stayed at the Super 8 over by the Richmond Airport once, hiding from my ex-husband when he was in a drunken rage - I walked in & asked for a room. Well, what I got was nasty. There were pubic hairs on the sheets (somebody had a nooner & the sheets weren't changed) the room reeked of smoke & smelled awful,
the bathroom wasn't clean. I went down to the desk & complained; they said if you don't like it, you can leave. They tried to keep my money but I was beginning to yell at that point - hey, I'd had a rough evening!!! so I got my money back. No one apologized, they were surly & very rude. Bottom line, I will never stay in a Super 8 - I'd rather sleep in my car. (which is what I did).

I have stayed at a few. I have booked online and it has worked out fine except for once. I got to my destination in Alabama and they didn't have record of the reservation. They still gave me a room and 20 dollars per night off the rate quoted on my printout proving my reservation. I have never had a "nasty" room at a Super 8 either.

If you know for sure that you'll be staying at the Super 8, it is always best to phone ahead. It is a good common courtesy.

Yes,I've stayed there.Walked in,got a room.The one I stayed at was adiquate .You get what you pay for.Ask to view the room first.Most managers are glad to accommodate such a request.

Super 8's are dirty.. I think you pay by the half hour.....
