Having lots of money can make things easier. A person doesnt have to worry about financial difficulities. Having lots of Money doesnt necessarily guarantee complete happiness either. Take a look for example at some of the famous celebs such as PRO athelets,rockstars, film stars some of them arent happy. They are addicited to drugs alcohol getting in trouble. MEL Gibson is a good example of a famous celeb who has hit rock-bottom despite all his fame and fortune. HEs worth around 800 million according to FORBES Magazine. U would think with that kind of Money the guy has hes completely happy with nothing to worry about. YEt his 800 million dollar fortune hasnt helped him get over his addiction to alcohol which hes been battling for the past 20 years. Theres nothing wrong with being rich, but if a person isnt happy with themselves what good is money. THe key to complete happiness is being happy with urself first of all.REMEMBER THAT. I think if you are Bill Gates then you would be happy cuz now that you are a billionare, you and your lovely wife are giving back to the community and enrich other's lives. If I had a bunch of money it would make me happier . I could pay my bills off and not be so freaked out about living pay check to pay check .. but, it won't fix my health issues, my family issues and all the other things going on... and to just be rich, it can't buy you everything, like Love and Respect, therefore, it can't really buy you happiness .. I mean look at Paris Hilton ...

Even Bill Gates gets down if he is spiritually dead. Having things will not make you happy. Look at all the stars addicted to drugs because they are looking for something better than what they have already. To us, it looks like they have a lot, but they need to satisfy the spiritual need...otherwise they will never be happy.

Bill Gates is actually a pretty humble person. He is family oriented, and has many charities and programs going that he supports 100% with his own money. Yes it is nice to be rich, but you get big-headed and start spending it all on stupid crap and you will end up unhappy and alone.

Money´s like a tool...it can help to open up some doors for you, opportunites that would otherwise be completely shut-off to you, so in that sense, yeah it would make me happy to be able to get somewhere in life...but money cant buy everythin, not talent, not love, not alot of things actually...so as far as money directly makin me happy? The answer´s no.

I think happiness is relative and money is just a tool. If owning a great car will make you happy, then you need something to get that dream car. If your religious, then knowing your purpose in life and going for it will make you happy.
For me, I am spiritual, and money for me makes me glad, not happy. It pays all my bills and take away unnecessary worries. That's all I use my money for.

Except people who can make you happy...you are surrounded by people who want your money, want to take care of your money, want to share your celebrity, want you to give them money...
But hardly any of them actually care about you...if you are lucky, you still have someone from before you got rich...but I wouldn't bet on any *friends* after you got rich...maybe one in a million...
