We took money from things like:
Health care
job creation
Environment
research
roads
medicare
retirement benefits
etc.
then we printed more money now than ever in the history of the nation and usurped the dollar overseas then we went from paying down our debt ( Under Regan ) to going into the trillions in debt and also the Federal Government taking funds from states and then the states adding new taxes to make up those funds (and more)

The domestic agenda was not affected by the Iraq war. The federal government is unlikely to spend money on job creation when the US unemployment rate is under 4.5%.
Stem cell research are issues to be addressed by individual states, not the federal government. New Jersey and California are among the states that have earmarked money for that. We have the world's most eminent research facilities between the university hospitals (which are generally state entities) and the pharmaceutical industry. Why should the government underwrite private corporations, that is a form of corporate welfare.
The federal government already has guidelines for the environment, the states are charged with enforcing them locally. Changing environmental enforcement from local to federal jurisdiction would only serve to expand the bureaucracy and impede any meaningful results. Plus it impinges upon states' rights.
If you want to free up money for additional social and entitlement programs think smaller federal government, not larger. The money would be spent more efficiently and be more under the control of the people.

Quite a bit of taxpayer money goes into Health Care and the Environment.
Job creation and stem cell research seem to be private sector issues, not federal government issues. Understanding the American Constitution as I do, the goverments only job is to ensure the safefty of its citizens, such as fighting a war in Iraq, not to give them jobs or pay for research.

silly child,
health care is not a right or a current social program
the government doesn't create jobs, business does
the environment is not at risk, global warming is a myth brought to us by the same people who predicted another ice age
wake up and smell reality. stop drinking the cool aid.
no one owes you anything, get a job and do something and stop expecting the governemnt to pay for it, ask your parents instead.
