Amnesty International today published findings that point to an Israeli policy of deliberate destruction of Lebanese civilian infrastructure, which included war crimes, during the recent conflict.

The organization's latest publication shows how Israel's destruction of thousands of homes, and strikes on numerous bridges and roads as well as water and fuel storage plants, was an integral part of Israel's military strategy in Lebanon, rather than “collateral damage” resulting from the lawful targeting of military objectives.
The report reinforces the case for an urgent, comprehensive and independent UN inquiry into grave violations of international humanitarian law committed by both Hizbullah and Israel during their month-long conflict.
"Israel’s assertion that the attacks on the infrastructure were lawful is manifestly wrong. Many of the violations identified in our report are war crimes, including indiscriminate and disproportionate attacks. The evidence strongly suggests that

Don't trust anything Amnesty says. First of all, in war, both sides try to kill people and break things. The one that kills the most and breaks the most usually wins. Any act of war or aggression could be construed as a war crime. Yes, Israel did target transportation and fuel used by the Hezbollah, it was war. It was disproportionate because Israel was better prepared, better trained and better armed.

This has been my contention all along, that Israel deliberately sought to destroy as much civilian infrastructure as possible and thus bring unnecessary suffering and hardship upon the Lebanese people. Undoubtedly it is Israel's contention that since the Lebanese people have never risen up against Hezbollah but actually voted them into public office, then the Lebanse people are just as guilty as the Hezbollah fighter who fired a missile into Israel. Israel's policy has always been to answer every dispute by bombing everything into dust. Israel is the cause of all its own problems, and as long as it keeps doing all the wrong things all the time the violence against it will continue. Twenty years ago I was in support of Israel, but after studying the history of the conflict I have switched my position completely. Now I think Israel is in the wrong, and has been since 1948 and before, when the Russian and European Zionists began to fan the flames of hatred against them. What Israel did in the most recent round of violence was a deliberate attempt to reduce Lebanon to rubble, and used Hezbollah as a self-serving excuse to hit civilian targets.

Anyone who knows anything knows that Israel's attack on civilians was deliberate. It was a test to see how far they could go and get away with it. After getting the "green light" from their funding partner (USA) they went full force. What they didn't expect was such a tough battle on the ground on the part of the Hezballah. Now they (Israel) are really pissed that they lost so many soldiers. Next in line is Iran and then Syria. Innocent civilians will get killed there also. The UN will condemn the attacks on civilians without any repercussion as Israel does not care. They are terrorists that hope all Arabs will be wiped out one day so that they can continue to expand their land ownership and illegally occupy yet more lands that in no way belong to them. This is a process that has been in the works for hundreds of years. Without public outcry from Americans regarding what their tax funds are going to and to stand up to their government for supporting the actual terrorists, there will be no end to this. Israel would be nothing without American money.

I agree that it is pretty darn crappy, however, I also believe that when you use tanks, and missiles, and bombs and guns, people are going to die, and stuff is going to be destroyed.
Unjust, and unfair? Yes. Avoidable? Yes, but not if you insist on using weapons.
Is Israel the only guilty party here? I don't think so. The results of their attack were just more visible, I guess. Not entirely sure that charging these folks with a crime is going to solve any of the issues created by the conflict, or prevent it from happening again.

Bridges, roads, media outlets, airports are legitimate military targets. They allow an army to bring supplies, move units, communicate with each other. If you don't want them blowing the crap out of your country keep Hezbollah on a leash. I'm sure to your simple mind The rockets that Hezbollah fired into Israeli cities and homes were different. Even though the Israeli military was out in the open and the Hezbollah "girls" were hiding in houses

Considering the source you cited, I am inclined to believe the opposite.

What did Amnesty International say about Hezbollah using civilians as human shields?

I'm am not in the least bit surprised.

Remember, these are the Zionazis you're talking about.

(Before anybody reports me, remember that Zionazi is a perfectly appropriate term. It stands for Zion Nationalist which is a perfectly accurate term to represent Israel supporters.)
