NO... there is no nudity and your just a waitress. At least you have a job and are doing it for your kids and not mooching off the system like some people. I applaud you for doing it!!! Tell that X of yours to mind his own business.

What gives your ex the right to say where you can work? Especially since he isn't taking care of the kids. And how would your kids know, would he tell them? It really ticks me off when guys demean women who work in jobs like that, when there would be no need for places like Hooters if men didn't want to go ogle women. It's just a job, you do what you have to to take care of your kids. There's nothing wrong with it in my opinion.

I think you are in a bind. I'm a heterosexual male and if I go to Hooters I'm going to be staring at your cleavage like every other guy in there. I'm not going to Hooters for the food, but for the atmosphere. If you have the Hooters pleasing body you will make money. Realize you will be tempted to go out with co-workers and patrons after work and start partying. I'm single with no kids and go out all the time. I can't imagine what it would be like in your shoes. Think about this- its a catch-22. You'll be making cash to help your household, but I don't know if your kids will be taunted or not. Kids are funny. Sometimes they think stuff like that is cool.. sometimes they look down on it.
Think for yourself... forget what the deadbeat Dad says, he can't hold a job, he has no say. After thinking for yourself, do what you know is right.

Your ex's opinion really dosent apply sice he isnt doing anything to help. I dont think it matters if you are stripping all the way if its to feed you kids and keep them under a roof. You may have to hid it from the kids, but when the going gets tough, the tough get partially (or completely) naked.
Whatever it is, if you HAVE to do it for the kids, its worth it.
Besides, Hooters isnt a carnal house, its a freakin resteraunt.

personally, how can he judge you like that(good example for the kids) whenever he is not even paying child support, do what makes you feel right about the situation, if it does not bother you then work at hooters, just remember and don't get mad when people order and they are not looking you in the eye.

It's not like you are giving lap dances or anything. And why would your kids be there? And still better yet, WHY hasn't he found a job yet?
You are doing what is best for you and your children. Just do it!

Do what you have too. Your ex is your ex. You are a waitress trying to earn some money - if your ex wants he can give you more child support and alimoney.

The kids come 1st and you have to feed them and care for them. Any job would be ok in that case.

I DON'T KNOW, I HAVE NEVER BEEN THERE, BUT ISN'T IT JUST A RESTAURANT WHERE YOU WEAR SHORT SHORTS AND A TANK TOP RIGHT AND SERVE CHICKEN. TO ME IT'S JUST LIKE ANY OTHER RESTAURANT EXCEPT FOR THE CLOTHING. YOU NEED TO DO WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO TAKE CARE OF YOUR CHILDREN. THAT M F SHOULD MIND HIS OWN BUSINESS IF HE'S NOT GIVING YOU ANY MONEY. HE ACTS LIKE YOU'RE GOING TO BE A STRIPPER OR SOMETHING.
