the rosebowl was sooo heartbreaking for me...i was really cheering for usc but deep down inside i knew that texas wasnt gonna laydown and take a beating...but now i give texas their credit.. but without vince young...will they make it? whats their chances? cause i dont think usc will even go that far due to the fact that half their team went to the nfl

Texas will most likely lose a game or 2 considering they have a freshman at quarterback. USC will breeze through the PAC-10 like usual considering the weak opponents. Even though the Trojans lost key players to the NFL they still have plenty of talent and are solid at the QB position with Booty.

Not I. Great team last year, but with VY bolting for the NFL, that leaves the 'horns in the position of having to start a freshman with no game experience (albeit, a very talented and highly touted freshman with no game experience) at quarterback. Your QB doesn't need to be a prolific passer, or run like Vick or Young, but he does need to be a leader and he does need to be able to take control of a game. The only way to get to that point is vis-a-vis experience. Texas plays a pretty soft schedule, but that week two matchup against Ohio St. is about as big as they come. Make no mistake, Texas will be good this year, but with so many other teams vying for the national championship, "good" probably won't be good enough.

I don't think they will, but they will be pretty good. But honestly they wont even win the Big 12 this year. Vince was a major loss. And they have a freshman QB this year... so basically their just starting over from scratch. They might get back to the championship in 2 or 3 years, but not this year.

Texas will reload but you don't just reload a Vince Young. That combined with Mack Brown as coach, I don't see a Texas repeat.

i thought usc played there worse game in three years vs texas. i mean they had them beat in the first quarter anyhow itll take texas another 30 years for them to win another national title and usc?...probably a year or two.
