I have been with my fiance for 2 years and 1 month, and we do plan to get married when we both graduate college and have steady incomes so that we can raise a family.

You cant date someone for too long if you are happy with the way things are between you and your significant other. Just be sure that they are as happy as you are with the arrangements.

Ive been dating my guy for about a year and a half, and we hope to get married someday. I think the only time dating is too long is when both people are ready to make the step of marriage. I know people that have been dating for 20 plus years and are happy that way. It all depends on your values, or what you believe about marriage

Not dating, but the last person I dated was for about 6 wks.

There is no "too long" to be dating if both parties are happy with the situation. I've known couples to date for years without marrying or plans to marry.

I'm with my boyfriend for 4 years, we are living together for 2 years. We have a very good relationship: we both do household and domestic work, we have separate accounts, but we do buy together things for the apartment. We are not planning to get married, because we don't believe in it. Papers are irrelevant to us, because we express each other love and loyalty every day. I think that you date a partner for as long as you don't live together. When you start living together you two start behave like a married people.

Lol, my husband and I dated a month and moved in together (planning on getting my own place within a few weeks after). Decided to stay together and were engaged 6 months later. Wedding was a year after that. I think if you know, you know. if you have doubts then I would find someone you don't have doubts with.

We've been dating just over a year. May eventually live together. No plans to marry (both of us have been there, seen that, done that!)

On and off in life, we have been "dating" for just under 40 years! Who would have known these things last a lifetime?
