For you smarties: Who out there has ADHD? Do you take anything for it? What are your strategies for working with it?

YES!!! I do ..,UH.., Strategies to co-exist with this..,
UH.., MMM.., What were we talking about.., Oh yeah!..,
Well, at almost 50 years old.., driving almost anyone and everyone around me crazy..,
I don't have any problems.. those around me do !!!
Except.., it really does drive me crazy that I can very easily be distracted from a task at hand.
But at the same time ,I operate mentally at a level that others ,sometimes, can not.
Abstract reasoning.., creative artistic.., ( I said artistic, not autistic)..,analytial reasoning..,
These are the positive features to ADHD.

I have a family member with ADHD. It's very hard parenting her. It was a tough decision to put her on meds, but when her grades kept going downhill we felt we had to. What I need is some guidance on how to parent a child with ADHD.

I take Adderal XR...it does seem to help keep me focused and on track. But it's not perfect.

my brother! we won't give him any meds though cause we know kids on ritalin and they've lost everything that makes them them
