When I go overseas, I will always crave for the Ang Mo Kio Central Hawker Centre SOTO and Mee Rebus.
Can't find anywhere else in the world lah. So before leave Singapore I sure go there eat-in or take-away. After I return from overseas, I sure go there again and tell the friendly Soto man, I returned safely and must eat some more. Tasty Tasty....Shiok if eat-in alone or with a makan buddy...

My favourite makan place in Singapore is the Zion Rd food Centre, that is opposite Great World City Shopping Centre. The Carrot Cake (Chinese Styled) is one of the best in Singapore. The Curry Chicken Rice is also very good (must try) and the soya bean milk there is really tasty (made from soyabean imported from the US). Best of all, it's near where i live.
To reach here, take the bus 16, 123, 195 from Tiong Bahru MRT Station or 75, 970 from Outram Park MRT Station. C1 from City Hall MRT Station also arrive to this place. Alight at Zion Rd (opposite Great World City Shopping Centre) and just walk backwards and you'll see. (You can also notice it on the bus before reaching it's bus stop, if you notice carefully).

For a cheap and very satisfying slurpilicious meal, I'd always have a bento set from Tori-Q, the Japanese rice is nicely cooked, and the pork with asparagus yakitori skewers are great!
When I splurge, I totally enjoy St Julien at the Boathouse and Raffles Grill at the Raffles Hotel. Their service, ambience, food... impeccable.

I always think of going to Amoy Street when I am working overseas and when I don't work in the CBD area.
There are two fabulous wanton mee stalls, very good loh mee, nasi lemak, fried kway teow, fish soup, etc etc. I can never run out of things to eat when I am there.
*Slurp*

kinda like the Angus House at Takashimaya Level 4 , that looks out of the Orchard Road through its white little windows overseeing the busy walkways, while there's serene piano music.
