I am 56 and share your love of heavy makeup...wear your makeup as you always do...or you will feel uncomfortable...He met you that way, just do it beautiful, because the glow you are going to give anyway, youre just going to look like a knockout...Don't go any heavier, in my book...do it just like you always will..to be sure, do your makeup, and have a friend take say a polaroid so you can see for yourself..take a couple at a distance, etc..and you can get a good idea if you need to go heavier...and sister, best luck and Good wishes for a Blessed Wedding!!!! p.s...i have done many makeups for a living...

Yes, just do your regular makeup a bit heavier. Also, avoid anything with sunscreen and powders, both of these reflect light from the photographer's flash and will make you look even paler. Do you NEED that much makeup for your wedding day? Probably not, and usually even celebrity brides go more natural. However, it is YOU getting married and no one else, so if this is your look, stick with it.

Personally, I think you should go pretty light with your make-up. On your big day, you want your personality to shine through, and you want to look natually beautiful. You said you have great skin, so why cover it up with foundation? Use some translucent powder on your face where the sun would naturally hit you- on your cheek bones and the apples of your cheeks, above your brows, and down the bridge of your nose- for a natural, sun-kissed glow. Don't wear green shadow. The green shadow next to you green eyes won't bring your eyes out and make them sparkle. You want to use the opposite color to bring your eyes out, so use neutral browns and maybe a little brown eyeliner. Use some mascara to open your eye, and you're set. You can also try going very light on the eyes (a very sheer neurtral shadow similar to your skin and some mascara) and then using some dramatic, bright red lipstick. Don't do both eyes and lips very dark- you'll look like a cartoon. You can try going to a department store make-up counter and getting a make-over- they'll tell you waht shades go with your skin tone. Good luck!

CONGRATS!
Start with your normal facial makeup, don't go heavier or lighter. Your skin should not be the place to pile it on.
Then do your eyes. Since you want greens to complement the maid's dresses, that's a good pick for you. Green eye makeup can really flatter green eyes.
Highlighter: Pale green with a silky pearl sheen shadow. Sweep it from lash line to brow line.
Lid Shadow: The color of your shadow should be a more intense shade of a shiny green than that used as a highlighter. Brush it onto the inner corner of the lid, and intensify as you reach the outer corner. Since you chose hunter for the maid's, try a hunter or a forrest green.
Crease: Using a brush, work the shadow from the lid right into the highlighter. You shouldn't have a line between the upper and lower lid, blend well.
To set off the green, apply a narrow line of intense black liner, and finish with black mascara.
Color Palette Example:

Do several tries of colors to see what you like best. If you aren't crazy about all that green over your eyes, then you know in advance instead of finding out on your big day.
If you decide against the all green, or just want to try something different.
Start with a natural highlighter over yur entire lid from lash to brow. It should be close you your natural skin, with just a hint of sheen. Then sweep a hunter or forest green over the lower lid, and try a matching liner. There's less green above the eye, but a heavier coating close to your eyes themselves. Then use black mascara.

If you feel that black mascara or liner is too harsh for you, just try a brown/black or a brown.
After you've done your face and eyes, then experiment with your favorite lip colors to find the one that you think looks best with the green shadow.

Rule of thumb is that you should concentrate on one or the other, eyes or lips. Doing bright, bold, or dark colors on both compeate for attention, drawing away from your overall face.

Okay Ill start with eye shadow first.
Green eyes- Purple will make your green brighter and really let them show!
Brown eyes- To make brown eyes brighter use blues to let them show!
Blue eyes- Use browns and dark browns to pop these out!
For all eye colors Natural looks great on all of them! Browns, earth toned colors work wonders!
Mascara
If you are a red head or blonde- Brown and black brown looks best.
If you are a brunett or have very dark colored hair- Black is the best color!

Hi new bride, Keep all your everyday application same,You can keep your eyes heavy (play with three shades of green-army army green and teals ascending) keep it low on your lips - peachy or Pinky shade will do. Dont make it heavier dear. It might by too much for a bidal look. Good luck.

I think on ur wedding day you want to go for natural beauty. dont use any more make-up than u have to. now a days, matching eye color with a dress is out. pick a color that comploments the color of the dresses, but don't go for a match.

Green eyes look good with purple shades of eyeshadow. Use lots of mascara to make your eyes really pop. Use and eyelash curler to make them pop even more. Don't overdo the green, Too much green on green eyes doesn't make them stand out. It instead competes with the green. Good luck, congratulations!
