What did you think thus far of this season? Not much Firefighting, but...

I'm a fan, but this season has bothered me. I think the show has gone wrong because the try to take the craziest personal situations and apply them all to the crew. Franco's daughter is basically kidnapped and he does nothing about it?????? (although I wouldn't put it past the real Susan Sarandon to steal babies).
All the crazy stuff with Dennis Leary and his wife and brother. They also totally wrote his kids out of this season, some of those interactions were pretty good.
I definately think the series already jumped the shark.

I love the show!!! Denis Leary is great! My brother is a firefighter and everyone at the station watch the show. I watch it with them sometimes and it is funny when they get a fire call while it is on. They start cussing and griping b/c they are going to miss the end. They try to make it back before the encore show starts. LOL

So you are saying you want to see men with hoses instead of men with hoses.
The story is about Tommy who sees dead people and talks to Jesus every time he goes to a fire. The less fires the better.
As for the season, Tommy has slept with his best friend's widow, her son's school teacher who gave him crabs, his brother's ex-wife, his own wife, and a girl who wouldn't shut up so he hhad to get the duct tape.
Meanwhile Franco had Susanne Surandon.
Probie found he was bi sexual
Garrety married Tommy's sister.
The chief had a heart attack on Viagra.
Tommy's uncle is have congecal visits left and right.
And the Lt. has over come his drinking problem and found religion between the legs of a fallen novice.
Men with hoses.
It was too bad that Tommy's brother had to die but he was sleeping with Tommy's wife.
All in all, a pretty eventful season.

I watch it and absolutely love the show. I think that the reason there isn't much firefighting is because it focuses more on the private lives of the characters.

I really liked the show the first two seasons, but this season has been like a bad soap and in the last ten minutes of the last show I actually got to see a "jump the shark" moment on one of my favorite shows.

Great writing. Great acting all around. Denis Leary, while mostly known for his comedy, has done phenomenal in this drama series. Some of it may be over the top but every show works week in and week out-never a show where you say to yourself "It was ok, but it could have been better" but I wished they wouldn't have killed his bro off, it sort of surprised me . Then again, we know Tommy will be 'seeing' him next season.

Along with The Sopranos and Nip/Tuck, the best show on television. Last weeks ep kept me on the edge of my seat for the entire hour.
I think Tatum O'Neal is HOT!

Love it!! I'll be so sad tuesday when the season ends. Its funny, its dramatic and the men are hot.
