Well, to get technical, it depends on social context, personal circumstances and era. :)

Physically, it's generally easier to be a man, and its usually easier career-wise if you're a man, wherever you are.

However, in a Western society, and in these times, i personally think it's better being a woman. Many men these days seem to struggle to grasp their role, their significance in the family as a result of the empowerment of women. They still have a significant role of course, but many just don't realise it. Women need to remember to affirm the importance of men too, as both are equals.

Women may have physical differences, but in our culture, these are no longer commonly regarded as barriers to achievement. Yay for women!

In a Middle Eastern culture, though, i would say it remains better to be a man.

It's best to be both. haha. No just playing. Each gender has their own unique differences. Men has it easier but in different cultures if you think about has some responsibilities on their hands. The word "better" doesn't neccessarily mean issues due to health or the body it can mean things outside of that. For instance, men have to pay child support but women have a choice. Men have a better way of navigating a map, in which women don't. But women also have the caring and love for others that men sometimes lack. Well maybe some women do. So its really about everything and not just the giving birth or PMS.

When I got pregnant with my first child I wanted a boy because I know how hard it is being a woman. I didn't want my daughter (if I had one, and I did) to have to face what I face everyday. I say it is easier being a man and my husband agrees. Women are expected to work and in most cases take care of the house and children as well. Many people will say that men chip in and they do, but in most cases, they don't do nearly as much as the woman does. On average in the workplace, men get paid more for doing the same job. I could go on and on, but I'll end here.

Men do seem to have things a lot easier. The hair, the make up, the clothes, but I don't look on having babies a bad thing about being a woman. That is probably the best thing about it. ... On a day when I am so stressed about running here and there and cooking and worried about doing the laundry, I wish I was a man(in my relationship), but overall I am glad to be a woman.

I like being a woman! I like being feminine, the ability to have a baby, just being pretty! A man can't be "pretty". I like dressing up, wearing make-up and all that jazz, and when I feel like being a bum, I can wear sweats and still be and look sexy! I LOVE being a woman!

i am a woman but I don't really think that either one is better. men and women both have pros and cons. Just be who you are and make the most of it

I think both are pretty bad. But if I think of the benefits... I think I would say it's better to be male.

Guys don't have to wear bras.
