i created this character for my main family and when they arrive my house suddenly they cant go home they just sitting there at the end of the road near my house.what can i do to fix this

Do you have a front door or some access point into your house? If there isn't a door leading to the outside, they can't get into it. Sims, unless they are ghosts, can't walk through walls.
(In order to be a ghost, they have to be dead. You can't control them when they are ghosts.)
Have you tried getting them to walk into the house manually?
Go inside the house and right-click on an open area of flooring. Tell them to walk there.

If you cant click on them to do a task, that means that they are about to die. Just go and pick the family again in the pick family section and start over. If they aren't there just start from scratch. But the family will die any day now, especially if you are near a graven area.

Did you try clicking onto them and making them do an action like...use the bathroom...due to when they get home they usually stand outside unless you have an action ready for them...unless they need to use the bathroom...if there hungry ect...then they do it on free will!!
Have you tried sims 2??...i am so addicted
