Yes, just go to Tools > Accounts and add an account the same way you added the first one.

If youre talking about POP3 mail, yes you can have multiple emails as long as the POP3 server supports you accessing remotely. Yahoo, for instance, can allow you to do what I am talking about . . . for a price. Gmail, on the other hand, will allow you to access their POP3 server for free.
Exchange servers are a different story. Typically when accessing email from an Exchange Server, you need to be on its domain - normally you will not find more than one Exchange Server on a domain (not including back-up servers), so you wouldn't ever have more than one account set up to check the server (unless you had more than one account on the server). You can have one Exchange Server account and multiple POP3 email accounts though.
