Put some old stuff you don't use often into archives with WinRAR for example and try to find some things that you never use, so you can delete them, but basically, that won't solve the problem for a long time, you'll have to get a bigger drive or dispose of more data on your current one.

You need to go through and delete any programs you don't use by going to START>CONTROL PANEL>ADD REMOVE PROGRAMS
go through the list of programs and delete/remove any you nolonger use. Also while you are in Add/Remove programs you can click on the add/remove windows components button on the left and uncheck MSN explorer(it will save you 20MB). Once you remove any programs you are not using, go through your documents and either delete or copy to a disk any files that you do not need or want on your computer anymore. If you think you might still need them copy them to a disk(i.e. Pictures). Anything that you don't absolutely need to have on your hard drive you can copy to disk and save alot of space.
Do those two things and it should free up some space on your HD.

If you've had the computer for a while, then there are probably old files and old programs that you don't use anymore. One suggestion is to copy the files onto a CD or email them to yourself (Yahoo has 1Gig of space) and then delete them from the harddrive.
Try defragmenting the drive, that will definitely help, especially if you've never done it before!
good luck

do a disk defragment and then delete all programs/files that you do not use.
other option would be get a bigger hard drive, there not expensive, maybe around 60 bucks.

Try just deleting files or burning them to a CD or DVD. If you have lots of music or video files (especially video files), they take up a lot of space.

1. Remove unneeded programs/softwares.
2. Open "windows" folder, open "temp' folder and delete everything in it. Be careful though, you might have opened the wrong folder.
