Personally, I hated that movie. I had never seen the original...so I went in with no expectations and no idea of the plot. But I wanted to jump out of a window 45 minutes into the movie when nothing had happened yet.
BORING!!

I didn't like it because too much of it was Peter Jackson patting himself on the back and "look what I can do with digital effects, I'm Peter Jackson" type feel. Instead of just telling the story.
