Hold his food a few inches above the water and give him treats when he successfully performs a trick. My goldfish are not so clever, they just drift around on their sides on surface and lose wieght.

Excellent question!
First thing you need is a cat with a taste for goldfish. When the cat tries to get the fish, the fish will very happily jump in, out, and around the water.

supply it a handle each and every time it does a trick. compliment it alot and tell it its a good little fish. restoration hoops interior the tank for it to coach swimming by. then while it has mastered that, develop the hoops so as that they are in part out of the water and the fish has to then bounce. in basic terms a great number of regularly occurring encouragement and endurance on the two aspects. mail me while its have been given its very own coach. will choose to work out the goldfish performing. playstation . what's your fishes call??

I don't see why not, the only problem is that your fish will keep forgetting what you've just taught them as they only have a limited memory span. Could turn out to be a rather frustrating and futile task if you think about it.

It would appear the Japanese have worked out a way to teach fish to do tricks, so you may be able to get somewhere with your goldfish after all ;) Good luck!

It depends what you want to teach him. Most things are pretty easy, it's a case of associating food with that action (just like training a puppy or similar).
