How do you place your question under the correct category?

just answer the question they posed as well as you can.
that person and many others who read it will be helped.
you can add in your answer that you want to say more privately and ask the questioner to contact you.
(s)he may or may not but it is worth a shot.
if you answer the question publicly you will help more people.
I have answered some question where I thought the person needed help and usually some of the other answers include that suggestion.
so just answer away and invite the poster to contact you that is all you can do.

Try posting a question and put the persons name in the question that your trying to contact... maybe that way you could get them to contact you...

answer his question like I am answering yours, ask him to provide a way for you to contact him, and if he wants he can add more to the question so you can.
