No.

And no, the empires of Europe did not corner the market on carving up the world and colonialism. Empires of every continent (ok, maybe not Australia) have imposed themselves on other people and taken land in history. Why stop at 200 years ago? I am sure some Chinese family is owed reparations from another Chinese family during all those dynasty periods...or ancient Egypt probably owes Israel for slavery in Moses' time.

Yes, it`s not alright to take land off the true inhabitants, they nearly wiped the aboriginals out, without regard for the peoples already here.,who had been here for 40,000 years. The government is slowly giving the land back ,so someone is acknowledging the horrrors that were commited against the aboriginals ,On august 16 1975 after 5 years and a change of government prime minister Gough Whitlam pours earth in vincent lingiari hands to give back Wattie creek land to the Gurindji people asign that we restore them to you and your children forever. Mr Whitlam also gave Vincent the deeds as proof in Australian law that the land belongs to the Gurindji aboriginal people. When asked to make a statement Mr Lingiari said"We are all mates now.
