That is the main reason, and confidence is more intimidateing than attractive in women. (according to alot of men)
When I was younger, I was much more confident, and it scared guys off. Now that I'm a little older, and not so sure of myself, I get alot more attention. I find that very frustrateing since, I'm married and unable to enjoy and use the knowledge I've gained with age.

Veronica is a rather snooty rich lazy type, whereas Betty is just more fun to be around.
Maryann is just cute all over while Ginger is a phony Hollywood type who tries to hard.
I'll put it in simpler terms as I avoid the word censor

Perhaps some men like women who are not so overtly sexual, perhaps they are looking for a woman who has some class.
