if she does, you will always be in my prayers..lol.....but really, give it a chance, but ur the head of ur household, make sure she and ur wife understands that it will be only for a short-term. like no longer than 2 months. and i pray that ur wife respects ur decesion, u married her and not her family. but it is good to help every now and then....goodluck and God Bless...

ooh hard one! I must admit i wouldn't have been so keen. Mother in-laws i feel unless you have a really good relationship with them are too interfering, one sided, generally not yours. They think they know better as they are older. I like and prefer my own privacy and you loose all privacy when another person comes in the house, it wouldn't matter who it was. You may just want to weigh up the pros and cons to see how you would all get along. GOOD LUCK!

What am I missing? Didn't you say "YOUR House?"
When did your mother-in-law start making decisions about
what happens in YOUR House? Where are your wife's siblings?
It's your wife's responsibility to help your mother-in-law learn
she doesn't make decisions that intrude on her marriage.
Your mother-in-law doesn't sound like she has respect for either you or her daughter.

I would be ok with it.
Me and my mother in law have a good relationship.and there would be some benefits to her moving in.
There would always be some one here for the kids after school
and me and hubby could have more date nights because she could watch the kids.

I believe that the in-laws are a really powerful weapon that you decide the way you use it. You can use it on your favor as you cant use it against your self. If you earn their trust and love they will go against their own to protect you and defend you. Use it wisely!

I'd never make it and neither would my marriage!!
What I've done is suggest that I would rather assist my in-laws to rent a place of their own than have them living in my space.
Good Luck, this is a sensitive one!!

Get the locksmiths in quick.lol...then on the other hand your wife would have company and you could slip off to the pub more often with the lads...and you would have a built in babysitter...:)

Oh dear...peace, harmony and in control- good bye. Constant irritation, annoyance, lots of patience, biting of the tongue, going on holidays more often- hello!
