All of the above answers were WRONG. Fantasy Island was his j-o-b. Wishes were never granted for Fantasy Island employees.

He was that tall when he got there,, the midget thing was his wish.

Obviously, because he liked his size. I think I remember one episode where he tried being a "normal" size...but honestly can't remember for sure. It's been awhile since I've seen that show.
