In a nutshell..To become a workaholic, you must put work before anything..In other words..Live to work instead of work to live.

Ask yourself:
Do you want your dying words to be, "I wish I spent more time at the office"?
Want success? Some workaholics have financial success, but very few are happy.
If you really want this, these 3 things will help:
1. Find out what you love to do.
2. Find out what you're good at.
3. Find out what will pay for your future plans.
If you can find a job that intersects at the middle of those 3, success is guaranteed! (And, you will be a workaholic)

Don't think it is something that you can learn - majority of the time it is linked to a type A (very driven) personality. A very, very small group of people who work excessively hard are forced by circumstances to be working that hard and as soon as the poverty abates, they will work less (thus not workaholics). So unless you are driven, not sure you can learn it!
However, constant hard work and discipline tempered by realistic dreams and goals, and enough time for relaxation and quality time with pets, partner, family and friends will help you to be successful in a very grounded way. By the way, I know a few workaholics, and they are not the happiest lot of people in the world, so you would be better off to work hard, but not be a workaholic. Good luck with your future.

So how approximately you - let us know, are you a workaholic?

By your work not being a chore. If you enjoy your job, thats halfway to happiness. If you got a crappy job which you hate, but pays well, history shows, your overally happiness will be poorer than someone less well off doing something they love.
Another thing, make sure the work - life balance doesnt suffer. True happiness only comes from getting the mix perfect. Too much of either is no good.

I suggest plenty of coffee little sleep and always leave your answer machine on to catch those pesky calls from friends and family! Spend as much time at work as possible and develop a new relationship with your microwave! Maintain this and once you can't follow a regular conversation without interjecting about work you'll know your onto a winner!

Been there and done it. Its not always the answer to work too many answers. You tend to expand into the time you have. Your not as fresh if you work long hours so I find things become laboured and the inspiration takes longer and you loose your focus. The secret is to have a good work ethic, work hard while your working but take reasonable time out to recharge.
