It's the vitamin C that is the active product.
Alone, it's not much use, but combine it with honey, then you have a more soothing product.

I don't think they are -it's more to do with the fact that a sore throat usually accompanies a cold, for which vitamin C can help. Mix hot water, the juice of half a lemon and a spoonful of runny honey together. You could also dissolve a couple of paracetemol in it (as long as you haven't taken it in any other form). I tend to find that sleep is the only thing that really cures me though....Hope this helps. get well soon!

They contain vitamin C which helps with a cold but not a sore throat. You have honey and lemon because honey soothes the throat and lemon helps your cold.
Take some anti- inflammitory pain killers like Ibruprofen.

I use DayCare, but an old remedy was mixing honey and lemon. The honey coated the throat, the lemon cut through the mucus that was causing the coughing.

They disinfect the throat. Another thing you could try is propoli spray, it's natural made by bees and if excellent for a sore throat. You can spray it as many times a day as you like and it will certainly make you feel better because it is also a natural antibiotic.

Lemons are definitely good the help u fight bacteria in the throat area. Most people use it with honey to help it go down since it could be nasty, strong to swallow.

Lemons are not for the throat, but they fight against colds and flu. Try some throat lozenges that are easily found in the chemists.

Lemon juice and honey.. it works like magic. It won't make it go away any sooner, but it will help with the pain.
Warm tea with no milk also helps alot.
