I want to convert a word document to pdf format. It should happen programatically from my SharePoint document libraries (or VB.Net application). I am looking for some APIs or Classes that will do this job without any manual interaction. Any APIs available in the market? Pls. suggest me.

If you have Adobe installed, and can MAKE PDF files manually, then you can link to the Adobe libraries.

If you are going to bundle and ship this program, you will have to seek a better solution than this.

Try the product called DeskPDF. We use it here at our offices and it works great. License for PDF creation is very cheap (<$30 I think). It works by creating a printer driver that outputs to a PDF file. Simply direct ANY program to print to this printer driver and the driver will ask you for a name and that's all there is to it. It can be fully automated or invoked manually to provide a multitude of options to be changed.

Good luck in your search!
