Just been looking into it for you and it seems that no-one can say for sure.
There are some claims that snakes have eaten people but these tend to be unreliable and the stories tend to change considerably each time they get reported.
I haven't been able to find a reliable story of a snake eating a human although there are several unverified accounts.
There are some photos showing a person who was eaten by a snake but the experts cast some doubt on the authenticity of the photos. Click the link for the photos but a the page says - they're not for the squeamish as some of the pictures are very graphic... http://crinaustin.home.att.net/Snake2.htm
There is a reliable report of a snake eating a 6 foot alligator, this would be about the same size as an adult human. Both the snake and alligator died in the confrontation. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/americas/4313978.stm
Sifting through the various reports I think it's probable that there have been cases of snakes swallowing humans but probably children and babies. Until someone comes forward with reliable proof I guess we'll not know for certain.

A very large one can... As sick as that sounds... Snakes have a kinetic skull, allowing the bones in the skull to move relative to one another. This allows the snake to swallow food items much larger than you would expect. The way snakes eat however is complicated. It takes them a long time to ingest a food item, and for this reason they usually have a mechanism to kill the prey item before trying to eat it. Methods include strangulation (constrictors, etc.) or venom. What would happen? Well the human would be dead first so they wouldn't feel anything, but snakes swallow their food items head first if that's what you mean... I believe it is very possible for a snake to swallow a human, but I don't know whether any incidents of this have ever been reported. I would imagine that it would be extremely rare. Remember that the snake must be very VERY large and since this topic is posted under pets, I think it would be illegal (or impossible) to house a snake of that size. I hope you're just asking out of curiosity. LOL

Larger Snakes (Pythons, boas and anacondas over 10 feet) have been known to eat small children (Under 4 feet tall). I imagine that a 20+ foot snake could eat a 6 foot tall person, whole, after crushing all of the bones in his/her body.

Yes and they can even swallow a 1000 pound clone. I was in nam when I was a kid making the movie Apocolypes now the original documentry and we had snakes so big on the river they would block the whole river also they would try and eat the boat we had a crush hull one nite from snake trying to eat the boat. also I have had rattlers grab small airplanes out of the air in Arizona they get in trees and if your flying low to the ground they grab a small cesna 252 and try and eat it.

Just a baby or a child.
Green Anacondas typically feed on large rodents, tapirs, capybaras, deer, peccaries, fish, turtles, birds, sheep, dogs and aquatic reptiles (mainly caimans). They have been known to occasionally prey on jaguars and attacks on humans, although rare, have been confirmed. Younger Anacondas feed on mice, rats, chicks, frogs and fish.
