- somebody who understands your humor
- somebody who WANTS to know you

These are the things i look for in people who may become good friends:
first and foremost comes the trust factor. If you cant trust that person the role of a friend as a support in emotional distress is nullified.
Ur core values must be the same if u are a PETA activist and ur frnd is veerapan then it just doesn't work out.
Unlike others i donot think that sharing common interests is necessary. Variety always brings spice to life.

I think a good friend is one who can honestly undestand you without you having to say anything..soemone that knows all your flaws and good sides...someone who has been tested during turbulent times and has passed with flying colors!Someone you could trust your husband/wife with..somemone who never expects something in return and who appreciates you...someone you can cry on and feel comfortable doing it!Not to many of those around nowdays...I have a friend like that and feel fortunate..

Nobody can't can be good friend of urs as much u can be to urself.
If u r asking to define a good friend well i can't cuz recently one of my best friend brought such allegation against me that i haven't dreamt of.
Anyway I'm small town boy (Siliguri, West Bengal) my way of thinking may b different from others, I think good friend can only be a person who can trust other one blindly.

a friend is feel your thinking,emotion. he or she always ready to help in every condition or in every time in hole life.as my experience i good friend... who feel everything of your heart before you tell him. every person have just 1or 2 good friends in their life & friendship relation is diffrent then all relations.it is not important that girl is a good friend for a girl.everyone can be good friend..for exampal'--farther, mother,uncle,aunt,grandparents,brother-sister and also a boy.and a reality of presant time ..........it is too hard to find a good and true friend.if u like my ans... plz reply me @ [e-mail]
