In South East Essex
just like their are for dogs and cats etc, for people who tried to home a rat, guinea pig, hamster etc and then gave them away to shelters?
I want a new cage mate for mine, but would rather use re-homing than a pet store.

Yes some RSPCA and Cats Protection League. also have small animal centres within the same shelter. Just ring up your local ones and they should be able to tell you whether they do or not.

Try your local RSPCA centre - I was at one of their centres last weekend and as well as having cats and dogs which needed rehoming they had a special building enclosure for 'Rodents'.

Good re-homing for rodents is usually the inside of a cats stomach, i hate them

My daughter has a rat and I wont go near it

if its for a hamster theres no point trying to find a cage mate for your other one as they are very territoria and will fight to the death.
