I'm glad you asked. I read Mermaid's Singing by Lisa Carey. It's one of the best books I've ever read and I've had years of reading. It would probably appeal most to women. It's based on Irish folklore and Carey's writing is very lyrical. At times I would stop and reread a passage just to soak in the beauty of the way she writes. Check it out sometime.

I am currently reading, "Getting Stoned with Savages" by J. Maarten Troost, it is a hilarious travel book about his adventures living on Fiji and Vanuatu. His first book, "The Sex Lives of Cannibals" was also a great read. I highly recommend them.

Confessions of a Shopaholic by Sophie Kinsella. Unfortunately, it made me want to go shopping for stuff I don't need!
