I am not saying I hate liberals. We need liberals, we need balance. But why is there so much bulls*** on this forum about crazy conspiracie like "the U.S. went to war in Iraq for oil" or "9/11 was a hoax" or "Bush is trying to control the world"??? I don't agree with everything he does either, but this is just propaganda. The same people that criticize him for being stupid magically think he is capable of pulling of 9/11 and steal all of Iraq's oil.

Yes, there is conservative and Republican propaganda as well, but I don't go for it. We need more objectivity!!!
Hey patois, providing me a bunch of websites that created by a bunch of propagandist doesn't prove anything. Exactly what I was talking about!!! That is just a bunch of crap put out there to give credence to these crazy theories.

Sorry, Little Froggy. Reality bites. When President Roosevelt demanded that the Bush family cease to provide 1/3 of Hitler's raw supplies and funding, the Bush family ignored the President. On October 20, 1942, President Roosevelt signed the U.S. Trading With the Enemy Act and had Bush assests seized. It's public record. Look it up in Wikipedia under "Prescott Bush". Can you imagine how stupid you must sound not knowing this part of our nation's documented history? There are people still around who remember. What I want to know is how is terrorism security handled at the Houston Gulf Airport that George W. Bush gave Salem Bin laden, Osama's brother. Would you like to see that transfer deed, Froggy?

I agree with the thrust of your argument, but the left are not the only ones to suffer from over-simplified innacurate propaganda. The right have their own whacky conspiracies and the 'offical version' of 911 is one such example.
Most people who are intelligent, from the left AND the right, who have seriously examined what happened on 911, would not claim that Bush had anything to do with it. He was kept out of the loop on that one, Cheney is more culpable for allowing the attacks to happen and took a decisive role in preventing Americans from preventing the attacks. Cheney and Rumsfeld, through either deliberate action or neglect, allowed 9-11 to occur. It could not possibly have happened as it did, without serious, criminal negligence or deliberate malfeasance at the highest levels of the administration. The US air defence system WAS compromised on that day, deliberate or not, a 400 BIllion Dollar defence system failed and NOBODY in the administration in charge that day has been charged with the criminal negligence or deliberate malfeasence. in fact the General in Charge of NORAD that day got promoted to the joint chiefs of staff!
Any claim that this could not have been predicted is nonsense as the Pentagon and other agencies HAD Prior to 09/11/01 analysed and exersized that scenario. Additionally, The German intelligence service warned the Bush administration that German cells based in hamburg had been plotting to attack the US Pentagon and WTC during Sept 10th or 11th 2001. The US acknowledged this early warning and requested that the Germans keep it quiet.
The US knew the attacks where coming and did nothing to stop them. FBI whistle blowers claim they could hav eprevented the attacks but where prevented from doing so.
At the very least this is criminal negligence on amassive scale, but no-one pays the price, politically or in terms of personal liberty.
And if the US did not invade Iraq for oil, why were the american troops, in the looting aftermath of the fall of Saddam, only guarding the interior and OIL ministeries, and not the hospitals, clinics, schools or any other critical infrastructure? This was a breach of international Law. Any occupying power must take steps to protect critical national infrastructure especially hospitals, from attack.
Look deeper and allow the facts govern your learning. not political partisanship. I know many right wingers and liberal haters that also believe 911 was allowed to happen by elements within the administration. That is where the actual evidence points.
I know of many right wingers that hate the idea of your tax money being handed out in hand-outs to people who don't deserve it, yet don't bat an eyelid at the billions handed to Halliburton on uncompetitive no-bid cost-plus contracts for work that could easily be done far more safely and at a tiny fraction of the cost to the tax payer by Iraqis.
Giving the Iraqis real work would help reduce terrorism. Whereas laying them off and giving their jobs to the invaders at 100 times their old salaries is guarenteed to piss the locals of enough to create terrorism.
Do some research and find your own truth. not right or left wing propaganda.
Both sides are playing each side off on the other, both sides are being deliberately manipulated in a divide and conquer fashion.
some idiotic liberals believe that the USA is wrong whatever it does under a Bush administration, they are wrong, but then so is the opposing view of Everything Bush's administration is right no matter what and to question that is unpatriotic.
Both views are dangerously wrong. you MUST question everything any administration does and demand accountability from your leaders and make them public servants again.
You are allowing your leader to have TOO much powers and reduce your liberties too much. what are these right wingers going to say when the democrats gain office (as they may do someday) and use these same laws and powers against the right wing? will these laws be a necessary tool of the state to protect you and to question them will still be unpatriotic?
Get a balance. seek truth, wherever the actual evidence leads. and have your own independent mind.
Their are many different 911 conspiracy theories and the vast majority of them are complete crap. INCLUDING the official one.
but questioning the facts does not make you an unpatriotic liberaled it makes you an independent minded individual.

Because they control the media. The bias is sooooo blatant and yet sometimes so subtle--they're programming the public (ie, lib-good, rep-bad). Everytime a rep mis-speaks, lies or does something that maybe they shouldn't have.......it gets tons of publicity. Libs 'errors' are quite often ignored by the media- or it is somehow (laughingly) justified.
Lets compare Vice Pres gaffes:
Quayle: Spells 'potato' wrong and it's still being talked about...
Gore: Invents the internet and the media brushes it off as "what he meant to say was that he 'created' it"..............huh?
Thus, Quayle is stupid and Gore is the genius behind the www!
