What are your thoughts about the paid online survey sites?

Seems like there are a bunch out there... is one any better than another? And are they legit, or is it all pretty scammy?

I'd like to hear people's thoughts on these. Thanks.

The rule, as always, is to stay away from those that ask you to pay before you can get these surveys.

Legitimate market survey companies such as Pinecone Research recruit members based on demographic characteristics -- e.g. mothers of babies 0-12 years old -- and will send surveys of products and services targeting this demographic group. Pinecone Research, however, pays only $5 per survey -- you're definitely not going to be rich with that. They can give you anywhere from 1-5 at most surveys in a month.

Other companies simply ask you to answer as many research as possible, and you don't earn anything just the chance to win at a raffle (which I find lame).

I have tried one recently but i did not get much response from there side after getting one survey so i cant tell much about these websites but you can try if you have free time also some sites are scammy but not all.

I have membership in several

Lightspeed Panel takes a lot of points to earn 15- 20 dollars. There are many surveys that you do not qualify to finish

Survey spot is ok, but rarely offers money for surveys and you have to wait till you have over 10 dollars for them to pay you.

Zoomerang, and Zoom panel are good, but they do not pay money you can select gifts from a online catalog when you reach certain levels.

If you travel some of these sites will not let you post from foreign countries and you loose lots of surveys. One day you could have 5 surveys and they are very quick to fill the quota.

I have used emailcash for 4 years they send you email adds to click on, sometimes these are contests. I never managed to get anything from them, or even work out how their points and cash system works.
I also use wdyt same as above just adds to click on to earn points.
The best I have found where you actually recieve something in the mail is shopfree.
