Use firefox and download some of the extensions which come with it. One of them is a internet booster, which doesn't actually speed up your connection, it just maximises it. Other than that there is no such thing as a booster as your internet is only as fast as the connection you pay for. Plus firefox has less problems with security than Internet Explorer, so spyware and adware are less likely to slow down your internet connection.

Has anyone ever found that these speed boosters do what they say they can do?...I haven't found one yet that makes a scrap of difference.

You know there isn't such a thing as a speed booster. They can only make it seem better.
