Fact: Gore received more of the popular vote than Bush. Fact: Florida became the key state to determine the winner because of the antiquated Electoral College system. Fact: Bush's brother was governor of Florida at the time. Fact: the woman in charge of the recount was a repub and heaviliy aligned with Bushco. Fact: many ballots were destroyed or "lost" BEFORE the recount. Fact: Thousands of ballots (most from democratic precincts) were determined ineligible by Florida government (Bush) because of "chads issue".
...It's all bull, everyone knows Bush stole the election. Doesn't matter, cause a bunch of dumba*sses (not myself) voted him in for a second term and that's how we got the Iraq war. Thanks a lot di*ckheads--I hope some of those who voted for him lost relatives in that debackle--yea, I said it.

The final recount, including absentee ballots showed Bush won by a tight margin. The ballots with hanging chads weren't counted because Florida law, like all state laws, prohibited counting the votes if the punch didn't totally perforate the card. In a random sampling the hanging chads were split 50/50 so the DNC chose not to continue wasting money pursuing it.

It was found that despite the D's attempt to rig the vote in Palm Beach County by illegally counting hanging chads, it would not have made Gore the winner.

Swept under the carpet - the liberal media tried to do an honest count and found out Bush REALLY did win...way too embarrassing for them.

You can blame that one on Katherine Harris , she was the supervisor of elections in Florida at the time . Can you say "PAY-OFF , thought you could . Now she has the nerve to try and get elected senator , ha , what a laugh !!!
