I believe Scousebusterbill.
I had a tortoise, I called him Tortamatic, and he ran away. He ran across the road to an O.A.P and she sold him. The old b.itch.
It all happened so fast there was nothing I could do.

My dad was a chemist, and buried my tortoise when it went into hibernation he buried it. Scary that he helped invent certain pharmaceuticals isn't it? I had two tortoises and the other one ran away. Seriously.

You might try switching his diet to something that's less appealing to your tortoise. Maybe fudge bars or something. He'll hibernate in self defense.
Oh, and don't wear boxers.

I guess after 30 years in prison you're not use to real food. It will take time.

Bit erly for hiberation yet but here's an offer you can't refuse( I sound like Michael Coerleone here) ... I let you have my dog (Pic) for a day, leave him in your garden! Your tortoise will get so fed up being licked to death it will keep its head in!
