Partly because it is anti-Americanism. The mass media hates Bush and wants us to lose in Iraq, and since Israel is our ally, they go after them. Also, the media and the Left can't see past the nose on the end of their face--they eat up the lies about Hezbulluh being a helpful peace-loving organization. Guys like Jimmy Carter perpetuate the myth by ignoring the fact that before al Qaida, Hezbulluh was responsible for more terrorist killings of US citizens than any other terrorist group.

Do you know what antisemitism means? It is discrimination based on being a Semite, which is a heritage shared by both Jewish and Arab people in that area of the world.
Militant Israelis and Zionists frequently accuse others of antisemitism, when they themselves are practicing the same thing. Guess what! Bombing Lebanese civilians is antisemitism! It's a great word to use for propaganda, since our notion of it is so entirely wrapped up in the Holocaust and the atrocities committed against Jewish people over the centuries. People tend to forget what it really means.
Just remember before you make huge sweeping statements to check the meanings of the words you use. Antisemitism is not the burden of the Jewish people. Most Arabs are semites, too.

Anti-semitism is focused against the Jews. Israel is a country. It's a racist country in favor of Jews, but Anti-Israeli does not equal Anti-Jew.
I have not seen media endorsing anti-semitic views, in fact, the only example of anti-semitism I have seen is when pro-Israelis use the word to generate sympathy for themselves. That and Mel Gibson, but his words weren't endorsed by the media.
Honestly, Israel is the only one that can effect positive change. They have the economic power, they have the nuclear backed military, they have the strongest supporter in the world, the United States. Why haven't they effected peace? Why are Arabs still discriminated against in Israel. Why are the Palestinians still living in refugee camps, instead of voting in Israeli elections? Why does Israel insist on being democratic and a jewish homeland, since that also means demographic controls against non-jews (one cannot exist without the other)? Why does every one of Israel's "defensive wars" increase their territory? I'll tell you why...
Israel is a BAD country. They have more UN resolutions criticizing and condemning their behavior than any other country in the world. Yes, more than Iran, more than Iraq, more than North Korea, and even with the US vetoing dozens of other resolutions that would have passed. Media criticism of Israel isn't anti-semitic, it's well placed and based on fact. Amnesty international just stated that Israel's targeting of civilian infrastructure in lebanon constitutes a violation of the Geneva Conventions (again). Every single one of those settlements in palestine is a violation, and is illegal. You wonder why the rest of the world doesn't like Israel, it's not because they're jewish (although in the arab theocracies this is part of it), but because they routinely violate international law and they _get away with it_. Israel doesn't even have any laws guaranteeing racial or religious equality, and they take full advantage of this with different laws for people of different religions. Ok, so do a lot of other countries, but Israel is backed by the United States, the land of the free, no taxation without representation, religious freedom and equality for all. _And_ they were formed by UN charter. You'd think that of all countries, Israel would live up to UN standards and resolutions, but they don't.
The worst part of it is, my tax dollars go to support this behavior, and there's nothing I can do to stop it. Freakin' racists, I can't stand racists, they cause so many problems, be they jewish or arab or persian..., ok, I'm done ranting for now...
