because you re not the only user?
Make a new user account for the other users and put ur files on my doc and set a password to your account and make your files confidential by right clicking them

Click File, Open, Properties, Sharing tab. Click to place a check next to 'Make this folder private.' When you click the Apply button, you will be prompted to enter a password.

make a multiuser on winXP, only specific user can look into your private folder. Or, the simplest is, compress with winZip or winRar and protect with password, it can't be extracted if someone try to open it without knowing the password

you can secure your pc by semply (1) hinding it, (2) protection that is not allowing any toher person to have asses to your documents.
