Death of a child. Not being able to feed your children/family. Persecution by a totalitarian government, with no recourse to justice. Rape. Surving child abuse. Not surviving child abuse. Living with a severe mental illness......ummm.....are you kidding?? I am not meaning to be flippant at all--but yes, there are many things in life harder to bear!! Unrequited love is just par for the normal course of living and loving. If that's the worst of your worries, get drunk and maudlin if you have to, throw your fists at the sky, but wake up next day, and thank your lucky stars.

Yes, there are. I also know though, that when you are in that moment, nothing in the world seems worse, or harder. Accepting it is one thing though, that actually isn't so hard. It's getting over it that's the tricky part, and moving on with your life, which acceptance is only one part of.
The inevitable death of people close to you, whom you love, is probably one of the hardest. Accepting your own limitations ... most people never do this. Admitting and owning up to your most serious mistakes. Knowing that you will never, in all your life, be able to do the things you dream about doing, more than anything else.

It is a hard thing to be with someone and to know that you are not loved the way you love them. Don't get to upset the thing about this is Time mends everything. you have to let go and start meeting other people and forget that person you loved, they never loved you so what so what can you do But go on. Be Happy and Hope that person gets hit by a Bus. Good Grief ,Oh forgive me for saying that pls.lol

That's a tough one for sure, but ponder how much harder these are:
1) Inserting a bowling-ball in your rectum
2) Urinating directly into the wind without getting wet
3) Licking the tip of your nose
4) Running a marathon
5) Recognising when you are wrong
6) Having tolerance for everyone, no matter how different they are
7) Believing, in the absence of fact

I truly believe that if we always loved someone who loved us back and it never was any other way we wouldn't be grateful when we found someone. I was in love with a really good friend for years and had to listen to his love life details every day. It was excrutiating but now it makes me appreciate my boyfriend even more. If they don't love you then they don't deserve your love, true love only comes from being in a mutual situation.
If you're going through something like this my thoughts are with you!

Somebody dying and knowing that you have to live the rest of your life without that person. And no matter how much you want it, you can never bring them back, nor will you ever have another conversation with that person or get to hug them.
But loving someone that doesn't love you comes close second

Two choices:
Give unconditional love- easier said than done for humans except may be mothers.
OR
Move on with life; there is plenty to discover, experience

Someone who is your soul mate and wants you that you cannot be with because of religion/race/public opinion. Although, personally, if I loved someone that much, I wouldn't give a monkey's about public opinion!

Yes, there are. I'll give you one..
How about you're a person who has a lot of love to give and, if say you love more than one (I mean, love her/him and if he/she doesn't love you, try again on someone else),
But no matter how hard you try, nobody gives back that love??
Ouch...
