Or is that weird? I really want to go out dancing for my birthday. I don't want to sound desperate by asking for some company but it's no fun going by myself. What do you think?

YES!Ask away. Do not be alone on your birthday. Ask someone you enjoy being around. Who knows, this might be the time to ask that significant person you like out on a date for this would be the perfect excuse of a way to ask. I mean you could say something to the effect of " Hey, it's my birthday and I wanted to know if you would like to celebrate it with me" Perfectly honest and a great ice breaker. And, if you wanted more than just one other person, make it a party night. Most places will serve you one free drink if you can show them your ID and prove that it's your B-Day. And if you don't drink, then have a free coke and a smile....Just ask. I am a guy, and if someone asked me to go out with them on their birthday, I would be honored that they asked me. So, in short, ASK! And by the way, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Come on, this is a joke right? And please tell me you are over 18 years of age.

Yes, it is certainly, naturally, absolutely, totally and utterly acceptable to invite a person to go out dancing in celebration of you birthday. Heck, in my opinion it would be completely appropriate if your birthday companion offered to buy you a birthday dinner.

Have fun, enjoy your dancing and dinner. And please....if needed; have a friend drive you home.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

ask away , there is nothing wrong with it .why should you have to be by yourself. you just say "right*******it's my birthday on*****and were going out and having some fun. someone will be delighted im sure and love to spend your birhtday with you.you cant always in life sit around waiting for someone to ask or arrange a birthday for you. sometimes you just have to get out there yourself, wheres the shame if you enjoy yourself and have something to remember..go for it and ..HAVE A GREAT BIRTHDAY.
