Hi There,

Unless you're waaay away froma transmission shop then you're better off having them do it. Your tranny holds somewhere around 15 qt. but only about 4 to 5 auarts will come out when you drop the transmission pan. The rest has to be pumps out. They will also inspect the bands etc. replace filter and gasket. DON"T go to pep boys or that catagory of place. Find a reputable transmission shop and have them do it. Otherwise you end up having someone doing it who, probably, doesn't know much more than you do.

The last time I had mine changed it cost $79.00 + fluid and parts. about $150

IS IT AUTO OR MANUAL?,, IF ITS MANUAL THERE ARE TWO PLUGS ONE TO DRAIN AND ONE TO FILL,, IF ITS A MANUAL U WILL NEED A GEAR OIL PUMP..IF ITS AN AUTOMATIC ONLY ONE PLUG TYPICALLY AND YOU FILL IT THROUGH THE HOLE WHERE YOU CHECK THE OIL.
