firstly Sachin wasnt the only man accused for Tampering there were 6 players including Sachin but becoz sachin is hero of India and was in such a fabulous form in those days so he was being critisized more than other team mates

Unfortunately everyone tampers with the ball to make it move the way they want, some just do it more discreetly than others.
I have played cricket and you have to hold it in a certain way, throw it in a certain way and normally one side of the ball wears down and you try and 'help' that to give you more swing.
