Why is the sky blue ?

The blue color of the sky is due to Rayleigh scattering. As light moves through the atmosphere, most of the longer wavelengths pass straight through. Little of the red, orange and yellow light is affected by the air.

However, much of the shorter wavelength light is absorbed by the gas molecules. The absorbed blue light is then radiated in different directions. It gets scattered all around the sky. Whichever direction you look, some of this scattered blue light reaches you. Since you see the blue light from everywhere overhead, the sky looks blue.
As you look closer to the horizon, the sky appears much paler in color. To reach you, the scattered blue light must pass through more air. Some of it gets scattered away again in other directions. Less blue light reaches your eyes. The color of the sky near the horizon appears paler or white.

Why is the grass green?
Grass is green because it is envious of trees which are much taller and don't get stepped on like grass does. Trees don't get mowed every week in the summertime and sprayed with Weed-be-gone.

Also, grass is green because it is filled with chlorophyll not chloroform that is a green pigment that reflects green light from the sun and absorbs the other colors. Yeah, right, if you believe that one, you're pretty green yourself.

Wouldn't it be better if it was the other way around?
I don't know if the other way around would be better really.Mother nature is already beautiful in her array of colours, why disturb that color spectrum too, right?Humans have done his fair share of damage already, let's preserve her instead so the next generations will still get the same benefits as we have now.

Because God has created the sky blue and the grass green. Would you prefer it the other way around?

Because the grass is not blue and the sky is not green

The sky is not always blue. It is also red, orange, etc. That is because the curvature of the earth acts as a prism bending sunlight into red, orange yellow, greenish, bluue, indigo and violet.

Grass and leaves are green because of its green chlorophyll. As autumn comes the green chloropyll diminishes leaving coloured leaves and non-green grass. So grass is not always green either.

The sky is blue because the sunlight (white light) is refracted through it and reflects only the blue portion of the light, much like a rainbow is made of refracted light
The chloropyll pigment in grass leaves absorbs blue and red portions of sunlight and reflects the greeen, hence it looks green to us.

Refracted light and chlorophyll.
If it was changed with no notice we'd have people waking up screaming like it was the end of the world. The born-agains would get their Bibles out and complain it was the work of the devil. They would demand the original colors back. Maybe they would all have fits in the street and start speaking in tongues and passing snakes around.
Wait a minute- this might be fun.
