You can use rose water too cook with. Also, another good use is to place it in an empty spray bottle and use as facial freshener. Yes, also as a final rinse on your hair will make it shine like a new button.

Rosewater is distilled from water and rose petals -- it's basically water that smells strongly of roses. (People unused to this aroma in food often complain that it makes the food "taste like soap", since that's the product they're used to associating the smell with.) If you don't live in an area where your local grocery chain carries the stuff (it's variously filed under drink mixers, baking ingredients, and 'ethnic' foods in the places I find it) you might look in your yellow pages for a middle-eastern specialty grocery.

Love in A Jar
One traditional preparation of the rose is found in Rose Petal Conserve. Rose Petal Conserve contains dozens and dozens of dried rose petals, making it a concentrated, potent means for balancing the emotions. The recipe for this delightful confection can be traced back to a time when royalty gave jars of Rose Petal Conserve to their beloved if they wanted to inspire unconditional love. Later, the tradition evolved into our present-day habit of giving roses on Valentine’s Day or just to say “I love you.” Rose Petal Conserve actually acts as a powerful tonic for the heart. By balancing Sadhaka Pitta, it enhances positive emotions, and intensifies the experience of happiness and bliss.

We call it ‘Love in a Jar,’ because even if you are angry at someone, you can take a teaspoon of Rose Petal Conserve, and it will help you to start thinking more loving thoughts. An ayurvedic expert from The Council of Maharishi Ayurveda Physicians notices this in his interaction with persons on adopting Maharishi Ayurveda diet and lifestyle recommendations for better health and well-being. “When I come across a person who is feeling emotionally insecure, a little suspicious or sad for no reason, I recommend that the person take 1-2 teaspoons of Rose Petal Conserve before thinking more about the problem. This immediately pacifies Sadhaka Pitta and right away the person starts to think more positively.”

For Astringent you add 1/4 cup Rubbing Alcohol but I just leave that out if I'm using it for cooking. Make sure the rose petals are not sprayed with herbacides or pesticides

Rose water is soothing for the eyes. Take cotton pads, wet them with chill rose water, and keep them over your eyes (with your eyes closed, ofcourse), and wipe it off after 10-15 minutes. I dont think you can use it as a deodorant cos' it doesnt have any deo effect. Its just water, plain rose water. I do not know if its good for the hair, I guess you can check it out..

It is used for cooking too, for flavour, specially in deserts

You can bake with it. Apparently its not only good for keeping away roaches and other pests, but it can help with your period as well.

Here is one recipe:
Old German Rose Water Sugar Cookies

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. butter
1 egg yolk
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 tsp. lemon extract
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 c. sour cream
1 1/2 tsp. rose water
1/8 tsp. salt
3 c. flour

Cream sugar and softened butter until smooth. Beat in yolk and flavorings. Combine baking soda and sour cream and stir into sugar mixture. Stir in rose water. Sift salt and flour; mix with batter. Roll out on floured surface and cut with cookie cutter. Bake on greased sheets in preheated 325 degree oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. Cooking time may shorten if cookies are small. This recipe has been enjoyed since 1850.

If you live in or around Los Angeles, you can check out Mashiti Malones for their rose water ice cream. Most people don't like it, but I rather love it. It makes me instantly nicer when I have my bloody nightmare.
