Anyone? Well sure. Lots of nerds are drafted into
MENSA. All that is required is an Intelligence Quotient of 140 or so.
Since I'm able to spell Intelligence Quotient shouldn't I at least be an honorary member?

Umm, the fact that you are asking this question, makes me think that your IQ isn't high enough to belong to Mensa. Check out www.mensa.org for more info. You can do an IQ test there as well and chat to some intellectuals.

I'm a LIFE member of American Mensa Ltd., and joined in 1985. I consider my joining to have been one of the most "intelligent" things I have ever done, of the few that I have done.

Yes, Did at least but whats the point,exactly? Does your ego need a hug? I usually never admit to having been a member cause people think your being pretentious...and you probably are. You have to take a silly test and no it's not worth it.

I do... or did. You have to have a certain IQ score to join. It isn't worth it to me, because I don't discuss my intellect in general in my adult life... I'm just not that self indulgent anymore or feel the need to be given validation from other pretentious people who feel the need to be associated with such an organization. I feel like intelligence should be displayed more in your conduct than in your affiliations.

Yes, I belong. You go take their test, pass it, and become a member. Then it is like any other organization, meetings, outings, "mental battles," etc. You may or may not have an initial interest meeting and a ceremony for initiation.

intelligence is like an underwear. you must wear it all the time but you don't have to show it off... unless it's necessary.
