why africa people are black?

i want to know that ,from past and frm small to big all the people of africa are black why?

Why are english people white, begs the same question, or why arent we all green. I dont see the relevance.

May be there is something in sunlight which affects the skin.That is why European people take sun bath to tan their skin and we Asian people use lotions and creams to protect our skins from heat. Over generations the skin colour becomes hereditary.

hi sindu-an interesting question!-humans like all animals are subject to the climatic conditions they live in for example polar bears are white and have lots of fur-so they can tolerate the conditions of the arctic-this has evolved over time-same with humans- africans are dark skinned because africa is a hot country-same as alaskans are fair skinned because alaska is a cold country. it all has to to with evolution my freind
