Lassana Diarra is No. 19.
He was spotted by Chelsea scouts while playing in an Under 20 international tournament, and was offered a Chelsea trial and impressed sufficiently to be added to the squad in the summer of 2005.
The Paris-born 20 year-old was signed from French second division club Le Havre where he was named their Young Player of the Year in 2004. He specialises in performing the defensive midfield function that has become synonymous with Claude Makelele at Chelsea although there are differences. Lassana is left-footed and not shy to try his luck with the odd shot from distance.
He was given a taste of first team action during the pre-season tour of the United States and did not look out of place. After two substitute appearances in the Champions League, a full debut was handed out against Huddersfield in the FA Cup. Lassana was man-of-the-match.

I don't know, but by the time someone tells you, it is very likely to have changed anyway. They buy players like other clubs buy training-balls and they can't field a B-team anyway because they are so chocked-up with world-class talent, all paid for by money the club itself could never earn. All the funnier now that they've already lost a game.
