yes they are.. i have worked in a tv channel and no one knows better than me... they earn a lot by fooling us.. thats y i never vote or send sms

Yes! agreed.This is a one stone kill two birds type of entertainment. Why ? because fools like viewers and listeners paid the SMS for voting and the money go to the TV station and the Telephone Co. Thus, who's loss ? We are always the "loss, loss situation".

I agree with you. That's why they are always having this type of shows where they ask the viewers to call in and vote or SMS to vote.

TV stations or any other business for that matter are always looking to improve their profit margins and if viewers are willing to spend money supporting their fav. idols then "popularity contests" will continue to dominate the airways.

Just remember a fool and his money is soon parted...

Yes, exactly! And in return they offer nothing in originality and creativity. The shows are basically rehashed or franchised ideas from other countries. They also rake in more in advertising. Singaporeans must be suckers! We pay for TV licenses too!
